Her home is in Beverly Hills, California with Samantha and Olivia. Ann Turkel's former husband Richard Harris has passed away after only 8 years of marriage and 20 years divorce. Turkel was born in an ethnically Jewish family and raised with her mom in Manhattan. By 16 years old, she was studying under Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton in the Neighborhood playhouse and in the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Growing up in Manhattan, Ann always had an aptitude for entertaining. Ann started dancing at age five, as well as her study of the arts continued throughout the college. Her grandmother is the one she credits with encouraging her creativity. Ann was an avid student of vocal, acting, and dance throughout her early years. Ann aged sixteen, was enrolled at the Neighborhood Playhouse (formerly the Musical Theatre Academy) as well as the Musical Theatre Academy under some great acting coaches within the city. They included Sandy Meisner & Philip Burton. When she was in high school, Ann began singing with her schoolmates and formed a rock and roll band. In Stockbridge, Massachusetts she also performed in the summer at the Berkshire Playhouse performing plays like The Pajama Game and West Side Story. Ann was discovered during her performance in the Vogue Magazine Fashion Show by Gloria Schiff. Diana Vreeland, the editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine had Ann along with photographer Richard Avedon shoot Ann's first Vogue cover within a couple of few days. Ann went on to become one of the most well-known models in America, appearing as a cover model in top magazines like Vogue Bazaar or Cosmopolitan. Ann was a successful model for various cosmetic companies including Max Factor Revlon, Chanel and Europe in Europe after two years.
